i need your help

    my head gasket is leaking oil ive talked about it before and i was gonna do a top end rebuild but ima try to retorque the head see if that helps first

    soo can you guys please help me on correct torque pattern and correct torque spec.also if im gonna retorque do i loosen up the bolts first then torque or just torque from wherte it stands

    It's extremely unlikely it's the head gasket. More likely the valve cover leaking. Leaking valve covers are quite common.

    It's easy to misdiagnose. I've even replaced valve cover gaskets on motorcycles where other shops claimed it was the head gasket. What happens is it leaks from the valve cover and runs through the drain holes at the bottom of the spark plug well and comes out at the front bottom of the head.

    Replace your valve cover gasket and the donuts on the bolts first.

    Wash the Plant.
    When it dries, ... Blow some Talc around where you suspect the Plant might be leaking.
    You'll be able to see the leak when it discolors the Talc.

    If you don't have talc on hand, corn starch works just as well.
