Soooooo, I wanna change my handlebar setup with like this gentlemen.

But using THIS, THIS, or This one or this one.

So thats question 1, which rolls into 2, which is is the resevoir even neccessary. I know the one I have on there now is probably useless and completely fused together and I can't see into the window either way.

The 3rd question is what the advantage or disadvantage is between hardtail and softtail as there seems to be more hardtail bobber builds than there are softtail...

Hardtail bikes have a more oldschool look and a harder ride. That is why their seats are supported by springs. Softail bikes are a smoother ride. You will see more soft tail shaftie builds than hardtail and more hardtail builds for chaindriven builds. It is a lot easier to hardtail a chaindriven bike. As for your reservoir question, it depends on the mastercylinder you use. If you use the stock Maxim brakes you don't need those aftermarket reservoirs. Chacal has the rebuild parts you would need and I think he has the sight glass too.

Do you mean I don't need them at all or I dont need the aftermarket ones and I can just get chacals. I have bought a few tings from him, but going through the catalog is confusing. I'm a picture kind of guy and the catalog call things by other names than the manual and/or the other sites do.

So don't go through his catalog. Send him a PM or an email and he will give you the options and let you know what parts you'll need.

Just rebuild your stock brake system. There is no need to buy that high dollar stuff you have linked to above. Tell Chacal your year and model, that you need the parts to rebuild your master cylinder, including sight glass. He will hook you up. Might want to rebuild the caliper and replace the brake lines at the same time.

I did that a few days ago and the prices he quoted me were more expensive, thats why when I seen what 82NewToMe had done to his bars, I was impressed and envious.

The issue is Im deployed right now, and I'm trying to find a happy medium in finding pieces that'll make my bike stand out as well as easy to install for the person watching my bike.
