Are those brake disks (with the cut-outs in the surface that contact the brake pads) stock for the 1100? What is the diameter? I'd love to get one of those for the front wheel of my 1980 XJ650 Maxim but not sure if the bolt pattern and outer diameter are the same.

Sorry it took so long to post pics of the finished product...honestly...I forgot. Now when I think about the bike I think about riding it, instead of writing about it. But here are a couple pics.

    Pyoobs,

NICE! I'm not really into a bob or cafe for myself but this is one of best I've seen. It's not just a rider, it's a show piece. I just love it when someone puts one of these bikes together and the bike makes the statement...I'm clean, neat, I can flat out get in the wind and I can do it over and over again!

Fantastic looking bike man! So what was the reason for it not firing after you got it together?

Thanks for all the comments, the wiring was wrong, luckily I had a buddy that is a electrical system genius.

so i just came across this post and it is exactly what I'm planning on doing. of coarse i will be making it a little different but what I'm really concerned about is the wiring and the frame chop for the rear suspension. i only want headlights turn signals and brake lights. put on an aftermarket spedo and that will do it. do you have any diagrams for the wiring because these bikes have so much more wires than needed for this project. did you have any issues welding the frame up or did everything line up pretty well. thanks for any help you can give and your bike is sick as hell. hope it runs well.

Really awesome build. Im bobbing an 81 XJ 750. The work on the forks is exceptional.
