    Quite a deal! How a 3.0 ohm dual output coil for Honda could be different from a 3.0 ohm dual output for Yamaha, that I don't know.

    I don't really think they are.

    I think you could expect the same results you would get if you got the "Yamaha" model of the same coil. I would imagine any cold starting issues would be gone forever.

    It would be rather interesting to see a "FAT" spark from an XJ. I don't know if I could quite deal with it... :wink:

    I put two of similar ones (not mini, regular) on my X a few years ago and was very happy with them! Huge improvement on cold starting, indeed!

    i've got 80% of the wiring harness balled up in there now not being used so if you promise not to laugh i'll see what i can do :)

    I put some new accel coils in my XJ750J and had a huge improvement in cold start issues.

    Are thesethe ones you have, Maz?

    On my long list I have "get good coils!" and I'm just starting to look into that.

    I put a set of Dynas in my 750 because one of the original coils had a secondary winding fail. Needless to say, it was MUCH easier to start the bike afterwards.

    Already done.
