    OK, I give up. The 82 750 maxim had a snap on panel that surrounds the ignition cylinder and covers some of the wiring and lock cylinder. It is T shaped, with a big 750 logo on it. Most of them wear out because the two snap on prongs fasten it to the lock cylinder eventually wear down and break. Not available anywhere that I can find---- so if someone can find one for me I am really willing to make it worth your while. I need one where the prongs are in VG condition.
    The name is misleading, but it appears on the fiche at bike bandit in the category "HANDLEBAR"

    EDIT-: Dammit, thought I found one then misread it though was '83. I take it the '82 is the only one with the logo you need? Hogfiddles on here I think has the biggest stash of XJ parts anyone's yet seen maybe worth asking?
