XJ400 Project from Thailand

    Hi, everyone l'm newbie here. I Registered this site about 2 months ago, for looking some knowledge to buy xj bike and now i got one mine. It's in fair condition can ride but not smooth 'cause older owner had changed carburetors.

    This is Skecth of my project, what do you think? Don't know how long to finish this.

    - XS wheels
    - Custom seat
    - Small headlight
    - Low handle bar

    Nice, not my choice of colour but then it's your bike so you do what you want with it. I like the look you have for it though, the tank suits the bike well. If I was going to change one thing, I'd probably go for a more straight handlebar.

    Glad to see you're joining us here on the forums, not many people have the 400 but we like to help where we can! :D

    One thing I will say is, before you ride the bike please check your rear brake shoes as they can fall apart and lock the wheel, couple of links to brake & tyre warnings in my signature line.

    Best of luck with your project, will be interesting to see how it goes 8)

    Like you said, not often to see the post about 400, but in thailand have much more 400 than another CC.

    Do you have the same engine size rules as in Japan? They have a lot of 400cc bikes as insurance for bigger is hard to get.

    I have a Japanese import 400 myself, the little Honda CB-1 400 & it's great fun :D not too much power and lots of revs!

    Have you got your bike to run better with the correct carburettors?

    very nice idea like the bike probably wouldnt do the purple seat for myself but it still looks great how did u do the sketch
