Will a XJ750 gas tank fit an XJ650 (both 81)?

    Need a new tank and found an XJ750 on ebay. Does anyone know if it will fit an XJ650??

    They are both 81's

    I know that maxim tanks fit in 82'. Not sure about 81' though. This is maxim your talking about right, not seca?

    Yes a maxim, so a 750 tank fits a 650 bike for 82? I think that 650's are the same 80-83 so if yours fits then so should mine!

    I don't know about compatibility but I do know that a Maxim 750 is physically bigger the the 650.
