I rode last night knowing full well that it was going to snow today...didn't care that it was only 30ºF.

    What snow?

Please don't call us (not Vancouver, anyway) Great White North any more!

We have had almost "zero" snow since January. I have ridden at least a dozen times this year. I found that, when appropriately dressed, I can enjoy a ride whenever it is dry and above +8 Celcius.

Oh, it does make a difference the fact that, within the City of Vancouver limit, there is no highway. Therefore, I don't ride fast enough to get cold!

    Wow, nice looking Secas guys,

I'm keeping my eyes peeled for a fairing for my 81... Anyone who lives where they salt the road should remember what salt does to metal. Besides the fact i need tires, hopefully April I'll be out!

The roads down here by Turkey Point and Port Dover have sooooooo much sand on them from the sanders that you would be sliding all over the place!!!
mwhite74 how goes the restoration on the new bike?

I got a few chilly miles in yesterday. a Fairing helps a lot.
Today it's supposed to snow again.....

It's going! I need tires and and that will hopefully be it, hopefully the certification goes well! Still need to look after a few cosmetic things, but first things first right? Hopefully I'll get down your way early this summer for a spin.

We got some good snow the past few days, another 5 inches yesterday morning......was out on the sled for a few hours in the afternoon before heading out for closing night of our stage production.

Today spent about 6 hrs riding......it's a little thin in some of the low-lying areas, but the hill tops and deep woods were great. The groomer was out yesterday, too.

    Now I'm tired.

Sounds good. Glad to here its almost ready to go. You must be itching to get it on the road. We can go for a spin then maybe. My bike is still in the garage on my home made hoist. I'm waiting for some warmer weather to get her down. Wife wont let me get it out on till the snow is gone and the weather warms up. She keeps her car in the garage. But once the weather is better the garage is mine! I have to fix a short in the kill switch!! It takes the most inopportune moments to act up! Like Friday the 13th last year!!!

    I second Vince's comment.
From a fellow Vancouverite, weathers been great.

Finally insured my bike for the season, instead of using overpriced day passes. Rode all weekend, it's great to be back on two wheels!

Rode in to work this morning, here's a pic of my bike.
Did shining up over the winter, so she's looking pretty good.

Bike looks great, VV. It was about 50F in OH this Saturday and I really wanted to ride... I was stuck mulching my parents yard (20+ cubic yards to move), but then it got cold and snowed (and continues to snow). Riding season can't get here fast enough.

Well I finally got a bit of a ride in today, although not ON the XJ I did have part of it with me as I finally got around to taking the rear wheel to the yard (tied to my back with that nasty blue nylon rope!) so I could seat the new tyre with the big bad compressor there :D It's been a pig to get seated with the cold weather (guess it made the rubber compound stiffer & less willing to seal against the rim?).

At least the wheel got a ride out!

Bikes aren't out yet....still good snow. Got about 200mi between yesterday and saturday. Saturday I was out for about 4 hours, yesterday I was out for about 6 hrs. Now I'm stiff and sore. Ah, this is great! All good things come to an end sometime, there's about a week or so left til the trails close (those that are still snow-covered) as the season ends April 1. THEN I'll get the bikes ready. :)

I hate you all. 30 inches of snow THIS MONTH! But I can see the end. Have to switch out the fuse box before riding, and I expect I'll be on the road in 2-3 weeks.
