steering assembly

    Can anyone tell me how the triple tree goes back together? I just got upgraddd tapered bearings and its been awhile since I took it apart thanks

    What part are you struggling with exactly? And what bike? For 750/900 I could email you a parts catalogue which shows the general order of things but a manual is better.

    Well actually I have it figured out but when I am trying to put it back together the bottom bearin race on the stem for the tree it's stuck on how do I get it off since I went to tapered bearings

    Right, you can take a sharp old screwdriver (or better still, old wood chisel) and carefully tap it in between the race & bottom yoke, working all the way round keeping it as level as possible until it pops off.

    This usually works but if it's really stuck you can use a cutting disc to VERY carefully grind a slot in it, making sure not to touch the stem, then take a cold chisel & give it a pop & it should split & be nice & easy to move...
