Took the bike out saturday but only got about 2 blocks before it started raining and i put it back in the garage.

Finally was somewhat sunny and warmish out on Sunday to sneak in the first ride of the year! Plus it rained pretty good on Saturday which cleaned off the road of gravel/dirt/debris

The weather for the rest of the week sucks but next week looks a lot better!

It feels so good to throw the leg over the saddle again!

Plus another cool fact, over winter my tires only lost 1 psi in the back and 2 psi in the front!! Remember to check your tires before going on your rides, should be done always, but in spring especially!! I lbe seen way too many bikes on the road early in the season with soft tires!

    Ride on!

Ohhhhhhhh yeah, its pretty much a perfectly smooth road that follows/winds along the river, hardly any traffic.....

speed limit 35...... feels perfect at 60....... and those straight aways..... nothing like those 2nd and 3rd gear pulls to redline....

I got a nice fishing trip in Saturday.
I ride the 750 Maxim and have a full fairing and trunk in the back.
A lawn chair, ultralight spinning rod and fly rod fit nicely.
47 was the high with no sun but the bike loves the cooler weather and
    the fish were tremendously cooperative.
This week calls for rain and 40's.....

yes all motorcycles love cold air, i think its cause the air is "denser" correct?

I may have missed the Frozen Snot Ride this year, but I made up for it last week. Rode the bike to work Tuesday through Friday. Every morning was in the 30's. ( only 7 miles each way)

People at work thought I was nuts, got the nickname 'snowballs'.

Tell ya what - 30 some degrees in the spring is a lot warmer than 30 something degrees in the autum.
My new neoprene/fleece face/neck guard REALLY helps.

Yeah the dang "wall" is coming at MN right now, so it's currently lightning/thundering while sleeting haha. 5-10'' expected here.

Gives me a few days more to keep working on my bike to get it ready 8)

The bike and road look beautiful though!!
