so I reinstalled my motor, hooked up the wiring and now the motor has no fire.

The starter cranks the motor, all my turn signal, horn and brake lights work so does my oil light on the dash. BUT my neutral light does not light up?

do you think this could be a clue?

How far did you disassemble the bike?

If the neutral light doesn't work, it's possible the neutral switch isn't working. If the rest of the safety circuit were functioning, the sidestand would have to be up AND the clutch pulled in to even allow it to crank.

My first guess would be the neutral switch combined with a partial functioning of the safety circuit.

Or simply a flat battery and a burnt out neutral light bulb.

While installing the engine it is easy to unplug the neutral switch.

ok so when i crank the motor it turns over, also the oil light comes on and stays on untill im done cranking. I unplugged the black and white wire from the tci, which i think i seen bypasses the saftyey curcit but no change.

Now on my battery on the neg terminal, the p/o had a blue and yellow wire tide to a black wire with a ring terminal.

when i look at the wiring diagram, the blue/ yellow wire isnt shown to ground. I took it off and touched it to the positive terminal. there was a spark and the neutral light shines but this is even when the key switch is off.... I should have left it alone

There is a plug near the neutral switch, but to come to think about it , i might be thinking of the oil
ending unit wire. It would be a male and female bullet connector.

When you say no fire, do you mean it won't start or you've checked and there's no spark at the plugs?

Even if there is a spark I'd suggest new plugs, as they're cheap & often neglected and can foul even when relatively new looking...

Right, I'd still fit new plugs for the reasons stated, have you got the neutral light working yet?

Also, are your ignition pickups plugged in (and more important, are they getting a signal to the TCI?)
