Frame no's XJ 700 1985

    Checked the frame no in the log book against the advice on reading frame no's........Think mine may be incorrectly registered.
    Unfortunately cannot read frame no on machine as it's worn off

    The no on the log for frame is.........JY1ANK009GA000189
    The engine no is.........INK000189

    I think this makes it an 85 Maxim sold in 86 Non Californian.

    Can anybody help please.......We are trying to establish exact model

    1986 XJ700 Maxim USA: 1NK (California version)

    The VIN should be JYA1NK009GA000189 (you have the "1" and the "A" transposed at the begining).

    The engine number should be 1NK-000189 (first position is a number "1" not a letter "I")
