whats causing my xj700 to come back down slow

    hey guys
    i just cleaned my carbs and replaced the needle seats and reinstalled them have the bike running good but when i give it gas from like 3000 back down to idal its slow what can i do to fix this

    I was having that problem last week until I replaced the float needle valves and seats. I also had to adjust the float to the correct level. The fuel was in the bowls was not being shut off correctly

    Have you checked the fuel level in the bowls?

    Are the slides dropping like a rock?

    if clunk test ok then possible vacuum leak or not synced right

    I was having the same problem with my Maxim X,what I did was changed the pilot jets to richen it up,more than likely the bike is running lean which will cause the rpm's to hang. Mine now is 100 times better and, it also helped with my throttle response coming off of idle.
