    well lads finally managed to get a manual for my xj 700 maxim, only thing is now ive realised that i may be missing a few bits for my loom, ( loom and engine is all i have at the moment) i think i need a safety circuit relay (or something like that) other thing is a right handlebar control ( stop start switch) i need a brake light switch ( front and rear), also do i need a clutch and sidestand switch or can these be bypassed?? any help appreciated at all thanks

    They CAN be bypassed, but they are all called SAFETY switches for a reason..........

    oh yeah i understand that man, but just until i figure out whether the engine is even going to fire up or not is my main thing now, plus the engine is going into a trike now hopefully so no need for sidestand switch at least

    The clutch switch is only so you can start it in gear if the sidestand is up; eliminate the sidestand switch and the clutch switch becomes less of an issue, especially on a trike. The NEUTRAL switch is what's truly important.

    To eliminate the sidestand switch it must be bypassed (jumpered) and not simply disconnected.
