Does any one have any ideas/solution to improve the fuel sending unit? I have two stock fuel sending units and they are both in good working order, but they both give sporadic fuel readings. Is any aftermarket/suitable sub fuel sending units that will replace the archaic fuel sending unit?

Is the wire clean where the wiper contacts it? That's the usual trouble on that type of sender.

Yes, the wire is clean on both of sending units where the wiper contacts it. I inspected both to make sure.
