Can you paint over chrome?

    Both the fenders on my bike are chrome and I would like to paint them black. Can I paint over them or do I need to have them sanded or sandblasted? If I can paint over the chrome is there a sertin type of paint I need to find?

    Might want to see if you could trade them first. You can paint them but you have to scourer the crome with some 600 grit sand paper or equivalent to roughen up the crome completely.

    if u want to paint chrome, Dupont makes a paint that will work.
