Does a 79' tank fit an 82'?

    I have a 1979 yamaha 850 special that I just got in to part out and sell parts off of. A guy has a 1982 xj650. Will my tank fit his bike?

    It almost certainly won't drop on and "bolt up" but might be a good candidate to "fit" with mount modifications.

    Example - a CB750 tank "fits" .
