I have a 1983 seca 900 and the gauges were destroyed so i replaced them with another set which im assuming are from a 600 and not a 900 everything works fine but the tachometer seems a little sluggish at low rpms until you hit about 5-6k. is this normal or does something need some lube?

    That's an electronic tach, right?

You can put a DROP (and no more) of oil (something good, not WD40) on the needle shaft bearing; you can see it on the backside of the actual instrument.

hm yes i do believe it is. I THINK don't take me for certain on it. i changed the housing of it and can't quite remember but i do believe it might be. ill give that a whirl whenever i decide to take the instruments back off. thanks.
