turn signal issue

    I put l.e.d. turn signals on my 86 xj700. they worked before but now they dont flash. they'll just light up when i signal the hand-control left or right, it has a flasher fixer module thing wire into the turn signal circuit.

    any suggestions? I'm just curious to see if anyone knows a trick to fixing this issue because the "manual" i have is like reading japaneese

    L.E.D. lights don't draw enough current so your flasher thinks there's a bulb out. Replace it with a digital or heavy duty flasher. You'll lose the self canceling though, if they still had that in'86.

    Grab one of these off Ebay - The loose wire goes to ground - replace original flasher (usually under tank or there abouts) - Part number can be seen in the picture.
