    Hey guys...........just one question.....

I took of the stock pipes on my '85 XJ700 Maxim X. I got a pair of Emgo mufflers and the fit seems kind of loose. What can I use to make sure that they stay air-tight. They seem to fit fairly loose, so I obviously need to make sure they fit..........any ideas?

Any help ya'll good provide would be of great appreciation.

Where to you think the pipes are fitting loose - at the head?

You could try some small washers and you should have some new exhaust gaskets for each exhaust port as well.

The new pipes are sitting loosely on the inlet for the collector. But I'll definitely give the putty a try and just get the thing airtight and call it good.

Thanks yet again for the input guys!!
