I have a 83 seca 900 and i slipped my rear wheel onto the drive train all the way into it and it gives me a 5/16 clearance on the left side and a 1inch 1/16 clearance on the other from the widest part on the tire. is this fine? i dont know if i have to even out the spaces to be equal or what

it looked like it was off to the left a little more than the right of the fender. but it's the same rims and even put the spacer back in that goes on the left side. i can try to grab a picture if that'd help?

Post pic. Are your spacers the same length? If one is shorter then the other it would throw things out. And make sure all the parts are seated in place properly.

There's a long metal spacer that goes into a hole in the middle of the drive train it's about 4 inches I'd guess and I just pulled the tire all the way as far as it would. It was the one I had pulled out when changing tires so I don't understand why it wouldn't be centered?

That look dead on man. Is this a shafty? If so, my tire as very little clearance on the left side (82 xj750 max). How about some pics of the clearance issues.

Well like I said I have 5/16 clearance on the left side and a 1 inch 1/16 on the right side and that's from the widest part of the tire (130/90-18) to the swing arm. I have no clue about bikes and I'm learning but what would you say about those measurements good or bad?

I'm at work ATM I'll post clearance with some kind of thing to compare to when im at home

That much difference seems wrong, should be equalish.

This is for a drive train bike if that makes any difference? I wouldn't even know how to equal it out if I need to I know I couldn't do much and risk the teeth getting messed up from being barely intact

The Rear Tire on my 900 is perfectly centered.

If you have the Rear Wheel Geometry incorrect, ... you're going to know if you take it on-the-road.

Wheels improperly aligned, ... the Bike won't track right and potentially result in a severe handling issue.

How would I go about properly aligning it? I put the part back in the left side and everything from when I took it off. I don't have the nut on it or anything yet this is purely from slipping the spacer into the cove for it and slipping the tire into the drive train as far as it goes if that makes a difference at all?
