Looking for a sealed beam headlight for my 1982 XJ650 Maxim. The dealer wants $86 plus tax. I think that is high. Anyone know where I can get one a little cheaper than that? Thanks!

take the opportunity to upgrade to an h4 setup Chacal/xj4ever has some nice setups. Or you can check out the 7" motorcycle setups from rimiinc on ebay really like mine http://myworld.ebay.com/rimiinc?_trksid=p2047675.l2559

If you absolutely want to stay with sealed beam most any auto place should be able to get you one for 15-20 bucks

or check with an independent bike repair shop they will generally get you a lot better price than a dealer will.

Any sealed beam 7 inch headlight from an auto parts store is around $15-$20. Or you could do an H4 conversion.

Was told same thing that you could use auto bulb. I bought a really bright one for about $25.00. The only problem was the light making its way thru the electrical hole for the gauges. It blinding the dog outta me. Once I sealed that it works great.
