For those who are getting into cleaning the 30 yr old grease of yer prize posession(yes your YAMAHA) This stuff works really good.My bowls were horrible and the starter curcuit was plugged solid.I didnt have anything to get them clean so i soaked them in this stuff over night and rinsed them off with thinners then some compressed air(saftey glasses too) and i never had to dig any thing out of anywhere there were perfect starter curcuit and all.

It even takes paint off too
Smells a little like formaldehyde, but not bad.

    The MSDS is interesting. https://web.chempliance.com/MSDS/OpenDoc.ashx?DocID=19416
I wouldn't want to smell it given the inhalation hazards.

I've been using soy based degreasers for a little over a year now and have been very happy. I have found no functional difference, other than occasionally needing to let a part soak for a bit longer.

A big plus for me is that my garage doesn't need to be ventilated during the winter when using the soy-cleaners. I do still use petroleum based degreasers occasionally, but only if I run out of the soy based and can't get it right away.

I got it from Piston ring a parts store here in winnipeg it looks like motoroil and ya it doesnt smell much.

Razz the part # i used was the HS3C i have the bottle at the shop ill take a pic monday and post it .Im not sure what the price was.I would imagine crappy tire would have it or any auto parts store.
Another good cleaner is "spray nine" works exellent on tires ,spray it on let it sit a couple minutes wash it off and that brown crap comes right off and leaves a nice black tire with no scrubbing.I use it for the white walls on my buick after the start to match the black on the rest of the tire.
Super clean is another really good one mid you dont use it unless well ventalated area you will start to relive the 60's and 70's again that stuff is strong but really works good with no scrubbing(who likes manual labor right?)

A small tube that sits down into your carb bowls from the carbs and "sucks" fuel into the rest of the carb so the bike will start.Extremely small openings

Thanks Mike, I really need to have a look at my carbs....

Maybe I'll buy a bottle of this stuff! Do the carbs need to come off to clean the start circuit?

He probably means the enrichment circuit (aka choke) passages in the carb float bowls.
