I'd like to start 'trimming the fat' on this bike and making it a bit sleeker. The thing I'd like to do first are the turn signals. They stick out like a mile on each side, I'd like something a little slimmer/sleeker....

Any suggestions? For those that have changed the light scheme, can you provide a pic too?

    Thanks!

Mine came from the PO with bullet turn signals on the rear, I don't have a good picture but I can get one when I get off work. I like them but I don't like how they're mounted, plan on eventually moving them closer to the taillight and changing the taillight to match.

Keep in mind that smaller signals are harder to see unless they are super bright. Also keep in mind that LED signals will require a wiring mod to operate correctly.

I used modern "Yamaha pattern" aftermarket signals on my '83. They're a copy of the signals used on the FJ/FZ series and even on the XJR1300s. I got them through XJ4Ever and I believe he now carries them.
    Here're a couple of pics:

See? The mount is rusted and its scraping paint off.

I really like how they look, and she absolutely loves them. I want to directly mount them on the fender closer to the taillight and put a bigger bullet as the taillight. Maybe cut the fender and smooth it out where the stock turn signals went.

And on that note I learned my turn signals don't turn off and the button to turn them off doesn't work either, or do they only turn off somehow after you make a turn?

I'd have put all of the pictures on one post but since I updated my phone yesterday its having issues pasting over things instead of where I want it to paste.

Damn Fitz, always a treat to see pics of your bikes! Joiner, I see what you're talking about now with the rust. Those are some cool lights, nice and low profile... I'll have to keep looking around.
