need wiring harness help

    Hello, im new here but I have a 86 xj700. Short story is the guy before cut stuff off the wiring harness so I bought another one. Listing said it was for my bike, but in the middle where the clips are around the fan, the new harness is about 2-3 clips short from everything plugging in, any idea?

    Not an expert on the 700 but, sounds like you might have gotten a 700n (air cooled) harness instead of a 700x (water cooled) harness.

    Ahh I see I didn't know they made both in 86. I have a lot of learning to do. Any way to adapt it?
