    Just got it back from paint shop....& $250 later.....was going to paint myself but $180 later in materials.....& say heck with it....get it done by motorcycle paint shop.....

    So true cost....$ 95 to acid clean & line it.....& $250 to paint it.....

    The price one pays to restore back to original beauty......it just keeps adding up....but no complaints....I will be rewarded in the end....

    Very nice. Im in the same boat on my project bike, but im thinking about powder coating it.

    Don't. Not the tank anyway. There's no way to effectively rub scratches out of a powder coat. I'm almost sorry I powder-coated my luggage rack, except that a few scratches and dings on a rack are considered normal wear-n-tear.
