    It usually is in the States as well, with a couple of exceptions - if it's a "show only" bike, or if he is actually a member of the fire department.

    Do they have volunteer fire departments over there?

    Around where I live the volunteers use their own vehicles to get to the scene of the fire. They meet up with the equipment to battle the blaze. They have a flashing green "mars" light on the dash to make their presence known in traffic so that they can be given the right of way. I guess the same principal could be given to a bike as long as you are a VF. They are not supposed to exceed the speed limit and they don't have sirens. If you are a Volunteer, my hat is off to you for what you do, if you're not, I think you will get busted if you ever used it and got caught.

    I live in ny and I'm a volunteer so we use our vehicles or motorcyle in this case to respond to the firehouse our police are red so it doesn't conflict with them. They call our blue lights courtesy lights. And it helps put out the fire by me getting there faster than my truck lol as for the ladders and hose....I will find a way lmao. Ny is full of volunteer fire company's more volly then paid actually. I figured i would be differrnt and have a blue light on my bike...thinking about getting more too lol. Thanks for the responses

    Regulations vary from state to state. I was a volunteer in PA and they use blue lights. My brother was a volunteer in FL ,they use red lights.

    As a fellow VFF, I have been interested in doing the same thing to mine since I got it. I think it looks awesome! Just a thought, but do you think you'll have any issues with "notice-ability" with just the single flashing unit? I know where I live people don't always respect the blue light.

    Either way though, I'm definitely a fan.

    Be safe, brotha!

    That looks like a ticket.

    I see alot of strobes inside parking lenses and back-up lights in FLA.

    You have to be careful with those lights your insurance will not cover you if your involved in an collision why responding. Here in Idaho we are only allowed red or white lights on the front and amber or red on the back. The absolute best is a set of wig wags those clear the road better than anything

    Flashing Blue = Snow removal.
    Flashing GREEN = Volunteer FF

    I'm pretty sure you're not removing snow with your bike.

    I'd ticket ya.

    Pretty sure it's province wide that it should be GREEN, possibly Canada wide. All of Canada designates flashing blue as snow removal.

    OP is in new york and a volunteer firefighter so the light is fine as long as it is only run while reporting to and emergency. Couple of guys I ride with (who are volunteer firefighters) have talked about putting blues on their bikes up here but I don't think any have actually done it yet.

    blue= volunteer fire (personal vehicle)
    red (red/white) = emergency vehicle
    amber = hazard vehicle
    green = volunteer ems (personal vehicle)
