    My hud had been battery warning ever since I bought the bike, the guy said he replaced it wiith another battery but the light stayed on....I have been looking for a solution to stop the warning light. Bike is 1982 xj750j maxim

    replace what ?? the battery or the sensor wire......the wire should be inserted in the third cell from right.....

    The previous owner Replaced the batter, and as I understand it wasnt a lead battery ( thats what he thought it was)

    Double tapping just removes the warning temporarily....the light will come back on after a little while....
