I went to the local upholstery shop, where they work on a lot of restorations...etc. They wanted 200 dollars to re-do my seat. I would have been great work and worth it. I would like to do it on the cheap though !

Go to a local dry-cleaner - tailor -alterations. Boat re-upholsterer.
Cut your old seat apart on the seams.
Get your own material, and cut out new stuff matching your old pattern
Make it 5% larger to compensate for shrinkage.
    Have "them" sew it up.
Staple it all back together with a hardware store staple gun.
You should be able to do this for $60 or so.

Just remember, as someone pointed out to me, this isn't a fit over your old seat cover. You must pull your old seat cover off and put this over the frame and foam. The 1/2" of extra foam almost had me purchasing one for a perectly good seat. Tell me if it is a more comfortable seat or not with the extra foam. I may still get it in the offseason and redo my seat.
