brake light flashing during heavy acceleration?

    I have an 82 xj750. Towards the end of the season, I noticed at times that the brake light on the dash would flash during heavy acceleration. What would cause this? Anything I should be concerned about?

    master cylinder have a white float in it? if the brake fluid gets low and sloshes around that float can drop and trip a switch in the bottom of the m.c. and light the light

    Generally speaking, ... when a WARNING Light goes on ...

    There's a problem.
    You're lucky to have a MC with the Low-fluid light.

    It can mean a couple of things:

    Leak
    Brake Pads desperately need replacing.
