    Hi all!
I have made a small clean of my carbs, meaning lower part of the hitachi carbs on my 82 650 Seca has been cleaned, and it's a major difference as the bike now starts and runs just fine with the cold start in order. Except for cylinder 3. 3rd cylinder is totally dead and cold.
I have spark but it's totally dry.
My plan is to redo the cleaning and do the total cleaning, or should I look for other things such as valve spec?

The bike was running fine 10 years ago, but have been sitting since

    Thanks in advance!!

I'd suspect your pilot circuit is clogged. Only cleaning part of the carbs is VERY rarely going to be good enough. The pilot or idle circuits are absolutely tiny and will clog easily. So yes a complete carb cleaning is in order, but if you haven't done your valves yet this would also be the time to get them done. If you get your carbs balanced and then do the valves you'll have to do the carbs again.

    Thanks a lot.
I will do the carbs and also adjust the valves.
Learned that there are no shortcuts when it comes to carbs :)

    Yes! Solved.
When having the pleasure to remove the carbs the second time, the carb for third cylinder was empty on fuel..so I adjusted the floater, and voila! Runs like a tuned puma on four cylinders.
    Made me most happy.
Seems to be a bit more sensitive compared to my 1981 Honda CB 750.

Anyway, thanks a lot for your input and help, I now I'm just waiting for the new brake hoses, and meanwhile I will fix the fork.
