    hi guys,have been lurking for a while and decided its time i introduced myself.live in a small town in rural south australia.have owned two xj 900s for about a year now.one runs the other is a basket case.have modified two.the first one has been cut up to finished the stretched frame.love the forum on pods.will try and make airbox and use original rubber boots. cheers scruff

    howdy,i lengthened the drive shaft 300mm using heat shrink interferance method.machined out duraflex shaft to slightly under shaft size,then heated and pushed shaft in.used two plug weld either end then machined shaft again.run out in lathe looked good but should have try to measure it.was advised not to weld around shaft.i hope the plugs and the interferance fit are strong enough.did not attempt to balance,im hoping a small diamater shaft and if i worked it out correctly approx 2300 shaft rpm at 4400 engine rpm (110kph) it it should be ok.if it does fail it is contained inside 50mm nb heavy pipe.hopefully in the next month i will get to test it.cheers scruff

    howdy guys,hoped to be riding by now but there always seems to be other things on.found some lights in a mates shed.headlight is a notek fog light,i think it was made mid to late 50s.i was able to fit a h4 globe in it.brass with copper rivets.bit of brasso and it came up a treat.cheers scruff
