howdy guys just wondering if you could answer a few question

where is the best place to plumb in oil pressure gauge?
can i reroute the oilcooler lines to the rear of the bike and replace it with a spin on oil filter?for looks
can i block off the yics ports while im rebuilding the motor ?just sounds easier to sync carbs.
plan on making airbox and using rubber boots but am wondering what effect the size of the opening to the airbox will have?still have original air box and can measure opening.
    cheers scruff

I built an air box from 50mm PVC pipe (some pic on here somewhere) anyway I use an single 50 mil wire pod filter on the intake and it seems to get enough air. That is to say the bike ran as good as the standard air box however I did let the filter get rather dirty at one stage and the bike was loosing power I now clean the filter a bit more often.

The highest reading is right after the pump, and the main gallery has big plugs on the side of the engine below the YICS covers.
But since that's too dificult, people usually plumb into the head where you don't get a true reading.

"can i reroute the oilcooler lines to the rear of the bike and replace it with a spin on oil filter?for looks"
There's a spin-on kit (Chacal has it - he has everything) which puts it nice and tidy right up front, with no lines.

"can i block off the yics ports while im rebuilding the motor ?just sounds easier to sync carbs."
We've been secretly looking for a guinea pig to do just that and report the results. Supposedly, you lose fuel economy and get a slightly worse idle.
Emissions might be down as well - something to consider if you have to get inspected. I personally wouldn't defeat the YICS, as I have had no problem with the extra tuning steps involved.
