No, I don't know what to make of this thing:

Easily the ugliest bike at the show:

Just because I'm appalled at using sex to try to sell me products doesn't mean I'm not going to look:

That's weird... like a giant grasshopper:

I know nothing about Victory motorcycles, but I give them credit for daring body sculpting:

A new Moto Guzzi. I'd consider buying this one:

Another very nice Moto Guzzi with a very nice price:

It's the new Yamaha Bolt. Different engine, different everything, not at all like a Virago.

Speaking of the Bolt.... The Star Demo truck was in town last fall and I did a demo ride on the Bolt. I really did not like anything about it. Short suspension, harsh ride, grounding parts on gentle turns around street corners. Small speedo hard to read in any light with a smoked face, thin, hard, uncomfortable seat. Good, well proven motor from a bigger touring cruiser though. Tiny tail light just asking to get rear ended.

Thanks for the pics. You have to admire the skill and talent to build those show bikes. And wonder what sort of mind altering drugs they were taking to develop the inspiration. Awesome build quality and paint but ....
And where do old show bikes go to die?

I believe the Bolt is supposed to be competition for H-D's Nightster, which has many of those same characteristics that you didn't care for on the Bolt. I think they are designed to appeal to younger riders who don't know any better and want "the look"
