13 Bad owners

    Well just got my documents for my bike from DVLA and found out I am the 14th regesterd owner of my bike since it was registerd in 1980.

    Having started a slow stripdown I can well belive it. So far found the HT leads jointed, and one of the studs holding on the exhaust is a set screw (which I had to cut to get the exhaust off) I have not gone any further yet.

    Told you it was slow :wink:

    Tsk tsk, lazy slobs. You ought to ring them up once you've restored it and play the exhaust note for them. Might haunt them in their dreams.

    WOW thats alot of owners hope mine didnt have that many but with the stuff im finding wrong i wouldnt doubt it...haha

    I am also the 14th owner of my bike. The only really obvious thing I can say thats wrong is at least one of the valves is set incorrectly.

    My brother had a '83 Virago which he recently sold. He was the 18th owner and amazingly it was more reliable than my Maxim has been so far.

    I dont know what number person I am but this is atleast the third state this bike has been in. I live in Ohio, I bought the bike from a guy in Illionis, and it has a sticker on the front fork from Missiour. I have to say, Ive only owned it a week but the maintence doesnt seem to bad. Its obviosly had work done on it but I cant seen anything hacked together, at least not yet.
