Front Fender/Fork swap options?

    I am currently putting together a 1986 XJ700 bobber build and have run into a snag on the front fender/forks. I want to use a cut version of the seca front fender, however the forks and mounts are different. What are my options with the seca fender or is it even possible. I did a search with no avail, maybe someone will steer me in the right direction. I really do not like the big ugly mount on the front fender and would rather swap fork tubes if that is possible. Any help is appreciated.

    Anyone? I really would like to swap the bottom tubes but have no idea on these bikes. I have looked all day and cannot find the answer to my question anywhere.
