I have an 82 maxim and i just really don't care for the square headlight, I'd like to go to a round one and i'm just wondering what all this change would entail?

look inside it, there's a lot of wires and plugs that just won't fit in most round headlight shells. so you start rewiring, then the big square speedometer doesn't look right with the round light.......and on and on, it's not as easy as it sounds

I used the round headlight from an '83 Maxim XJ1100 and it bolted right in to the factory "ears" for the rectangle headlight with no modification whatsoever and plenty of room for all of the wires. I ditched the gauges and accessory light too. Check the build thread in my signature for a couple pics.
