    Hey guys,

Question regarding 4 bottle syncing. Get the bike to operating temperature, block YICS, hook up the bottles to the 4 vac nipples, test 3 to 4, 1 to 2, and 2 to 3. My question is: Since all the vac tubes will be hooked up, do I run with the petcock on PRI? Or is it generally easier to run a 2 bottle setup?

Absolutely, or run it from an external bottle .

What do you mean two bottle? You should just need one for gas, and you can throw in a little valve in line to make it easier.

Oh I mean 2 bottles as in syncing 2 carbs at a time instead of 4. And thanks for the input!

I use a lawn mower tank mounted on a stand, the tank is higher than the carbs so it is a gravity-feed. I remove the bike's tank completely so that it's not in the way at all, can't get bumped, dented,................blown up, etc.......

The mower tank has an on/off valve on it, and about 5 ft of tubing, so it can also be well out of the way.

You'll want to run the engine with the petcock on prime. Using 2 bottles and swaping them over is cheaper, and less brain-strain inducing for me. Why all the asnwers about aux. fuel tanks?

On some XJs it's easier to get the fuel tank completely out of the way for the procedure.
