I am putting the front wheel back on and have an extra thick washer that I can not find in the parts diagram. I have searched and can not find info for this specifically.

Here is the order I installed: the axle-fork-wide spacer/collar-wheel-speedo-fork-thin washer-castle nut-cotter pin. The PO had a thick washer between the speedo drive and fork leg, but it looks to me like that springs the fork out too wide.

Can someone snap some pics of their front axles near the forks so I can compare?

Two pics is all I need, amigos, snap a close up of the left and a close up of the right so I can confirm the washers, spacers, speedo and such.

    Thanks!

Thanks for the reply MiGhost. I have schematics and fuzzy diagrams, and even a poor scan of the Yamaha Service manual but no decent pics of the front. I assembled it without the extra thick washer and everything is lined up well, so I am not sure where it came from or why the PO thought it was necessary.

The PO probably confused it with the rear wheel spacer.
There are 2 spacers on the rear. The first between the swingarm, and brake holder plate (Right side). The other (longer) spacer goes between the wheel drive hub, and final drive assy (Left side).

The rear wheel will get pinched against the final drive, and not turn if the spacer between it, and the final drive is missing.
