Bled the front brake and replaced the rear pads today. Rear pads were all glazed (noisy!) and not working too well. New pads and minor sanding of the drum.... huge difference. I probably need to re-bleed the front... cat spilled over my can of brake fluid.

I discovered that the spring that operates the brake light via the rear brake swith/pedal is broken. Anybody know where I can get a replacement?

popwersmotorsports.com or bikebandit.com both sell OEM Yamaha parts.

I had to buy that same spring, mine was missing. I went through Powers Motorsports.

You may be able to find one at a hardware store that will work. That's what I did. Only a few cents, and no waiting on the mail.

    Hardware store is right-on.

You'll have to put the bends in it yourself.
    No problem.

You can heat-it-up cherry red using a couple of matches held-together.
    Needle nose the angles.
    Cut-off what you don't need.
Heat it again and make the looped-ends!
