burn outs

Hi everyone so the other night I was riding my xj750 and was being dumb and decided to do a burn out. so I stated spinning my tire then I tried it again and a bunch of white smoke came rolling out from the bike I don't know were from now the bike wont even move in gear someone told me drive shaft before bike with this old of a bike so I pulled off the drive shat and it seems to be fine and with out the tire the drive shaft seems to spin just fine. can anyone please help me?

 

Check the rear brake.
Will the rear tire move when the bike is in neutral?

 

I haven't tried it but the piece that you put the drive shaft in does move in neutral

 

You probably fried your clutch.

I second the idea of a visual on your rear brake - don't just turn the tire - take it off and look.

 

Well, what did the smoke smell like? Oil? Clutch?

 

haha you know those chicks came running and tripping over there panties because of it haha no but for real some dick in a Honda rice burner came up talking crap. it smelt like rubber smoke that's why I thought I was burning out again and a little like oil but I was thinking its because my valve cover gasket is ripped is why I smelt oil and also would the tire spin if it was the back break

 

No, if back brakes fried wheel will not turn at all if it did lock up then likely drive gear in trans wouldve snapped with a abrupt stop like it would've caused, likely the clutch if that didnt happen. Next ti.e you entertain a thought like that, gosmoke some legal weed ofcourse nothing illegal save lots of money good luck.
