    Hello all.

Recently acquired the trunk and rack mount for my 82 maxim 750 would like to get the bags to go with it. not to concerned with condition or color. I will fix/repaint as necessary.

please let me know if you have them.

Check out ebay for XV920 Virago bags. They are the same.

Here they are MB. The yamaha tour deluxe package for the XJ650, XJ750, XS/XJ1100, XV750, and XV920. I have even seen them on the XS850

thanks for the responses guys. I will expand my search adding those models.

Thanks for the pics ghost. do you have any more up close of where they mount to the bike? in particular the back of the seat and the trunk? I am curious if I got mine on right.

also is that a different seat?? where did that come from

oh and does that fairing have a radio or any storage in it?

You can mount the brackets a few different ways..... just be creative. If you want to see another set, look at the 650 maxim in my gallery.

I mounted mine at the bottom front bolt, the made stand-off brackets for the other two mounting points. You can use whatever point you want to start with, then just figure out the rest.

There are actually a couple different shapes that were available for the quick-release saddlebag brackets.........some had straight 'legs' while others had curves where they curved out and around where the shocks would be. However, whether they are straight, or curved, I have not had them get in the way of the shocks to begin with......

I have several sets of the equipment..... you can find them if you look and watch.

The seat that ghost has on his 750 Midnight is the correct seat for that particular model.

The X-1 fairing does have two small side compartments for storage, but no room for a radio.

    thanks for the responses.

to go back a couple about the stand offs. im sure something could be bought, but I didn't want to wait. so welded a couple nuts together stacked, and painted black. then cut the head off a bolt and used as a stud to protrude out, and used the stock chrome acorn nut on that

for the mounting mine is the same. only I don't have those nice caps on the end of the side rails. after taking my handle off there is nothing to cover them. and there is no room for the handle and the trunk. so its a bit ugly I think. maybe some large heat shrink might be the way to go for me? or if I can track down those caps or something similar

Thanks for the research. It's tempting but I think i can make that for free or under a buck and they want 20 shipped.

    Thanks for the idea.
