I bought 4 new NGK BP7ES spark plugs, but the terminal top doesn't fit, it is diferent that the terminal top I had on my old spark plugs.

I heard that there is a cap that you are supposed to take off, but after fighting for 5 minutes I am not able to do it.

Are there other BP7ES with a different terminal?

Is the cap that hard to take off? Any tricks to do it?

    Thank you!

Shouldn't be a problem to remove, grab hold of it with a pair of pliers and unscrew the cap.

I am scratching the **** out of the cap but can't make it turn or come out. I tried on two of them and the results are the same...

Nick is correct. You need to unscrew the top caps. Put the plug into a vice lightly - you only need it not to turn. I use linesman pliers to take the caps off but vice grips or other pliers will work too. Keep at it, they are a bugger to get off sometimes. You are on the right track.

Look at the top of the cap.

If there's a little, tiny, open ring ... it unscrews.

If there's NO little tiny ring to be seen ... you ain't getting that top off there.
Well ... not until you break it off!

You might want to check the new plugs for a good spark as I had the same trouble as you recently then one of them wouldn't fire properly! Had to put one of the old ones in just to get it to run smooth again!!Just a thought??

Thank you guys, I just went for my first ride of the year today.

It was great, all the hard work paid off.

Thank you again and ride safe!

Thank you Rick, you have been (as always) of great help.

By the way, I never received the carbs but I don't need them now, I managed to fix those carbs with some JB Weld. (Although I don't know how long they will stay together) :)

    Now Tweaking....

Last year I didn't even know how to change the oil in my car, I have to thank you all for who I am know, (bring it on, it may take me a year, but I will fix it!)
