I purchased a beautiful xj1100 Maxim. it started a a few times and then nothing. So I replaced the battery and then nothing. So i replaced the starter relay. and still nothing. It will turn over if I cross it with a screwdriver.
But when i turn the Key i get nothing , no lights nothing, I have checked my fuses and they are all good, checked my wiring all seems fine, I have power from the battery, and the relay. could it be my ignition switch?

Possibly. Check your voltage to and from the switch.

Wait, by checking your wiring, you are getting a volt meter for this, aren't you? Wiring can "look fine" all day long, but can have a lot of corrosion inside.

I had a friend come over and use some wire that had a bulb on the end and it lit up when he touched the wires.

I will get a volt meter and check that thanks.
