    Hey all

Just joined the site, and recently bough an 82 XJ750 Maxim that i am going to be modifying.

A bit about my bike, it was my neighbors and he completely rebuilt it from the ground up. Was the only owner and new rebuilt engine has less then 3000 KM's on it. He's made it more into a cruiser with wind shield, Saddle bags, hwy pegs, back rest, which really isn't my taste... and he's painted the frame gold, and the tank and fenders that metallic colour that changes depending on how to look at it.. which again.. is not my taste.

right now, i want to tear down and paint the frame, Wheels, shocks all black, paint the tank, fenders and side covers burnt orange, replace the Speedo and tack with just 2 stand alone units, 2.5 inch face sizes.

My neighbor also installed handle bar risers, which i want to remove since i'm shorter, but he had to cut the bolts on the Handle bar mounts so i need to find some replacements

I'm curious tho, are there any other Canadians located in Ontario on the forums?

main reason i ask, just curious where people get there parts, or if it's all Ebay?

Also, if anyone has any stock handbar mounts, that just want to get rid of them, let me know!!

I'm not too far from you. I would give Tom a call a N.C.K. bike salvage in Woodstock for any parts you might need. His number is 519 268 2523. There is a lot of forum members in this area. Oh yeah welcome to the forum. Ask any questions you may have.

For any stock items like engine or carb parts, master cylinder, brake calipers, bearings and such, click the XJ4ever banner in the upper right. Len will fix you right up. He's the greatest for parts and advice.

Howdy Im a couple hours north of london in between goderich and kincardine. on the really common stuff like aftermarket signals or that sort of generic thing you can shop around the local dealerships, or online stores like royal distributing, or canadasmotorcycle.ca.
I got my replacement clutch off canadas motorcycle as well as my scorpion motorcycle jacket, shipping is also fast cause they have a warehouse in montreal.

any xj specific stuff then the forum xj4ever catalog is where its at.

    WELCOME!!!!

    Greetings from Guelph.

Zdeno cycle in Kitchener can be good for salvaging parts, lots of junked bikes and parts everywhere. I've picked up a side cover, windscreen and rear luggage rack there. Not sure if I would trust the place for critical components though.

XJ4ever delivers to Canada in good time as well
