You can turn the signal off manually even with the auto-cancel in place. Just push the turn signal button straight in. If that does not cause the signal to cancel then you need to clean and lubricate the switch.

On the rare occasion that I want the signal to stay on longer, I'll just tap the signal switch again.

If you really want to disable it, you will find the unit under the fuel tank. It's a long black case (about twice as long as a relay). Just unplug it (but keep it, or sell it. They have monetary value).

I know i can turn it of by pushing the switch.....its the auto turnof i want to loose.....but if i disconnect that unit under the seat....will it still work manually???

Yeah i tap it to when i think about it.....but sometimes you forget to do it and then there might be a traffic issue that i dont want to have.
