ok, so I left work tonight at 10:15pm and found out my high beam headlight was burned out on my 85 xj700 it was a slow ride home watching for deer - coons & other critters.
Should I go to the local dealer and get a genuine replacement? or do they make a brighter one?

    Thanks.
    Ron

Take the bulb out and take it to your loacl auto parts store and they will match it up for you - thi is not a part you need to get from Yamaha.

Maybe there are snazzy brighter bulbs these days -
as long as you don't exceed the wattage spec of the original by much (10% )
    you should be OK.
