Like the title suggests, anyone have a PDF version? I got screwed in my recent maxim x purchase. After getting it running, compression test(sucked), leakage test(failed), valve clearance check(horrible) and pulling the head, I am in need of a manual for all my specs and whatnot. And I guess I need suggestions on the best way to acquire valve/ bucket shims. From everything I've read it's a lot harder to find them for the maxim x since they're under the bucket...right?

Love the bike even though it's in horrible shape... I was really looking forward to getting it running.... But it's discouraging when you're told one thing and you trust what they say only to find out it needs completely rebuilt. Oh well.

So yeah if you guys can help me oit, that would be great! But if not, that's fine too. Just looking forward to all the information on here!

Chacal should have shims for the X readily available.

The XJCD set has PDF manuals for the X and other models, but the set runs $10, so not free. Chacal should also have a hardcopy version available... because not everyone has their PC sitting on the workbench. Also not free, but having a dead tree version is a good thing.

I've found maxim-x.com to be a great resource. If I remember right, he even had a shim pool set up as well as a fairly good shim calculator that I've used a couple of times.
