That's a great looking bike, Hog, just the right balance. It screams 'let's go riding' (but not too far)

Thanks! It's fun to ride that way...but yeah, it's not as comfortable for longer rides.

I can put it back to factory stock, though, in about 45 minutes. I'll post another pic of it in its 'standard' attire when I get a chance.

I'm glad you posted that picture, I have been fitting my parts and pieces in mock-up fashion the past couple of days and was wondering if the left sidecover actually leaves the voltage regulator exposed, or if I was missing a lower piece.

Great pics, I really like the side covers on yours fiveofakind. Are those stock? The ones on my '80 maxim are solid colour

Beekman......yeah, those are stock on his. If yours is a 1980, then it's not a 750 maxim, you'd have a 650 maxim which does have solid colors for the side covers.

Those are stock covers except for the silver paint on the emblems......Yamaha used a gaudy gold flake on the emblems which wore off over time....I sanded the emblems & painted

Rode my bike to work on Friday by the time we got off of work it was pouring rain, so I left it parked in the Warehouse and went Sunday to pick it up and take it home. It was a nice little sunshiny ride!

    Haha right!
I tend to keep some of my bikes showroom clean(especially the Ducati and RC51 which are parked in the Den) I have been cleaning and polishing obsessively on the Seca, and it's my newest jewelry, so no it wasn't getting muddy and wet. Top that off with our local traffic, nah it can wait.
Another pic of my 81 year old Dad on it!

Great pics guys; I couldn't resist getting in on the fun; plus I wanted to see if I could still post photos to the forum.

My stock X (now equipped with the correct shaped stock mirrors thanks to Hogfiddles).

The new format is great; but I will miss visiting the personal galleries on the old forum...

Wow you guys have some beautiful bikes! Do you actually ride them or just stay home and polish them?

love riding for sure; but i'll admit that i've got this strange addiction to polishing. from the looks of many of the member's bikes on this forum, i see i'm not alone in this obsession

My 1980 XJ650. The exhaust is a MAC that I bought new off ebay. It is for an XJ750 but the best that I could do. I will fit longer mufflers later.
