Does anyone know where I can download a repair manual for my 1981 xj650 maxim?
I would like to purchase right away if possible but I would like to know the best place to do this as I can't seem to find anywhere.

Old school + New school makes it harder to miss. Pdf's are great, but Imo also purchase a Haynes or Clymer (There are some on e-bay and amazon). There are some mistakes in them but the correct answers are here. Thataway you can have the book lay close to where you work and not worry about getting grim on your computer (old school). Then sit down when you have time and scroll through the pdf (new school). FSM are hard to come by unless pdf.

That's what I was thinking was to get both because like you said I really don't want grime on my computer! Any idea where I can get a pdf while i wait on a manual from ebay ? I really only need to get the cam bearing torque specs at the moment as I do not have them and really want to do it properly!
